A Bowl of Succulents

I have a very poor track record with potted plants. It’s so easy to forget them for what seems like a short amount of time! Still, I’m aiming to succeed at keeping plants in the house when the time is right. Until then, I’ll hope to get the atmospheric advantages from paintings of plants. Maybe our hardwired appreciation for the green and growing will extend to giving psychological benefits.

I chose to use a form of continuous line instead of painstaking detail for the leaves / succulent parts, because I prefer the energy it confers of growth and living. And because “pain” is in “painstaking”. I admit it. 🙂 Above is a time lapse video, of the watercolour and ink process. Just in case that sort of thing mesmerizes you.
